Victor Lindelof’s wife offers update, reveals the Manchester United defensive maestro has been fitted with heart monitor
Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof’s wife Maja Nilsson provide his fans some update about the defender’s condition on her vlog after he was substituted in the 74th minute in the game against Norwich. The Sweden international was said to be unable to catch his breath and also his heart rate was also higher than normal.
Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick provided the update about the defender after his side’s 1-0 thanks to a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty. “He doesn’t remember how it happened, I suppose he had a collision with another player and couldn’t breathe. He had problems to breathe and his heart-rate was higher than normal so we had to replace him.”
Though Victor Lindelof seem to be fine according to Ralf Rangnick, however Lindelof’s wife Maja Nilsson discussed the condition of her husband on her vlog saying that he had to take various tests and is currently also wearing a heart monitor.
“It was a scary match to watch and Victor was very upset afterwards. He did a lot of tests and has a heart monitor on for two days to make sure everything is OK.”
She further added that it took her sometime to get an update after the game. “It was a long time before I got hold of someone on the team who updated me. Everything seems to be okay as luck would have it and we are waiting for answers to the last tests that will end tomorrow. So we just spent the day at home yesterday and rested.”
Manchester United’s trip Brentford postponed after a COVID-19 outbreak in the first team players and staff
After Tottenham, Manchester United had a COVID-19 outbreak and as a result United’s training complex Carrington, was shut down for 24 hours on Sunday. However the club released an official statement later on Monday that their Tuesday’s trip to Brentford is postponed and will be rescheduled in the new year.
Are the football authorities and the the leagues doing enough for the teams and players safety be it COVID related or the physical issues to players such as Victor Lindelof. With the difficult schedule in the Premier League especially in the month of December where the team play more than 2 fixtures in a week.
