WATCH: Cristiano Ronaldo scores for Manchester United in the 95th minute to pull off an incredible victory

Manchester United have pulled off a stunning victory against a dogged Villarreal side in the UEFA Champions League, courtesy of their marquee summer signing Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored late on in the 95th minute of the match. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side looked the second-best side for much of the game, as Villarreal missed chance after chance in the first half to go into the halftime break all square at 0-0.
Paco Alcacer had finally scored to give the lead to the away side in the 53rd minute from a close-range finish after Danjuma delivered a vicious cross into the box. United who were looking sedate in attack received a lifeline as Mason Greenwood earned a free-kick close to the penalty box minutes later. It resulted in the United equalizer, as Bruno Fernandes and Alex Telles combined in a training ground move, with the latter thundering in a powerful volley from the edge of the area to break the deadlock for the home side.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 137th goal in the Champions League and yet another final minute winner to seal the victory for United
It all looked headed for a 1-1 finish as both teams looked to have matched each other out in the final minutes of the match. However, Cristiano Ronaldo did what he does best and stole the headlines yet again, scoring the winner for Manchester United in Fergie Time to send Old Trafford into a euphoria.
The goal came in the final minute of stoppage time, as Fred swung in a deep cross into the box, which Cristiano Ronaldo controlled and passed it on for Lingard who was ahead of the striker. Lingard intelligently touched it down for Ronaldo and the striker finished expertly from the six-yard range, past the diving Geronimo Rulli in goal.

The victory gave Manchester United their first points of the UEFA Champions League this season and took them to third place in Group F.
