The Merseyside Derby has kicked off with high excitement and a fierce atmosphere as Liverpool and Everton lock their horns to play their 14th match in the Premier League.
Liverpool has been excellent as usual right in from the start as they look to take over the London club Chelsea to get at the top spot in the points table.
Jordan Henderson scores a screamer to open the scoring in Goodison Park
Jordan Henderson gobbled up the chance to provide an early lead to Liverpool at the 9th minute of the game as the English midfielder fired a power shot from just the edge of the box sending it flying past the keeper.
Sadio Mane moved in with the ball from the left flank providing the ball to Andy Robertson who beautifully found Jordan Henderson at the centre who shot the ball curling it into the net with his left foot.
Mohamed Salah was not far behind to provide Liverpool with the second goal cushion
Liverpool caught Everton off-guard in a quick counter-attack as Jordan Henderson provided a majestic through ball towards Salah in the right flank as the Egyptian Pharaoh ran with the ball to shoot it at the extreme left side leaving Pickford helpless.
Liverpool will now look forward to hold on to lead in Goodison Park against Everton as the win might help them to move up to the top of the table if Chelsea ends up drawing against Watford.
