WATCH: Vinicius Jr scores exceptional goal against arch-rivals Barcelona

Real Madrid CF are facing FC Barcelona in the semifinals of the Supercoppa de Espana. The match is being at the King Fahd International Stadium.

Brazilian international Vinicius Jr continued his rich vein of form with another crucial goal this time against FC Barcelona. Moreover once again it was the Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr combination which brought about the goal for the Los Blancos.

Karim Benzema found Vinicius Jr with a pinpoint ball down the left-hand flank and the former did well to make some space and fired a brilliant shot to find the upper corner.

Madrid had come close to scoring before as well with Marco Asensio in the starting minutes. Vinicius had carried the ball quickly following a counterattack and released Asensio on the edge of the box. However the Spanish international was unable to hit the target and fired his shot just wide.

41′ – Luuk de Jong scored a lucky goal to put Barcelona back on level terms in the game. Eder Militao made an absolute mess and in an attempt to clear the ball slammed it right at de Jong. The ball slid past Thibaut Courtois and took a deflection against the post before creeping in.
