Kylian Mbappe snubs off reporters asking him about his plans to join Real Madrid, says he’s enjoying his vacation in Cameroon

Paris Saint-Germain starman Kylian Mbappe refused to answer questions on his tentative move to the Spanish capital as he continues to enjoy a much-needed respite from football in Cameroon. Mbappe has been a constant feature for both his club and country this season which also included the World Cup final. Mbappe’s father Wilfred Mbappe hails from the African country.
Mbappé’s visit to Cameroon has been filled with numerous events and activities, including a basketball match against former NBA player Joakim Noah and a friendly football game against Cameroon’s second-division team, Vent d’Etoudi FC.
Kylian Mbappé’s tour to Cameroon comes at a time when his future at PSG is uncertain. He has informed PSG that he won’t sign a new contract, and there are reports of a massive offer from Real Madrid waiting to be tabled. However, the Frenchman remains dedicated to spending some quality time with his family and loved ones. In a statement to the media, Mbappe said, “Where will I play next season? Kylian is in Cameroon right now, and that’s the most important thing. I want to enjoy my vacation, and my stay here in Cameroon. That’s all I care about.”
Mbappe’s strict secrecy over the matter is in direct opposition to his previous statement where he had specified that he will play for PSG in the coming season. The final destination of the mercurial Frenchman has kept the journalists on their toes for the past 12 months.

Additionally, Mbappé has visited schools and local villages around his hometown. He is also involved in a charity organization called “Inspired by KM”, showcasing his dedication to giving back to the community with his earnings as a professional footballer.
Mbappé’s visit has generated great excitement and thrill among the population in Cameroon. Fans flocked in numbers at the airports, expressing their pride and giving him a warm welcome.
Although Mbappé’s statement doesn’t clarify any details about his plans for the upcoming season, his current focus on personal well-being and family time during his visit to Cameroon takes precedence before the start of the next season. In anticipation of Mbappé possibly leaving, PSG is contemplating a transfer deal involving Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona.
