The past few weeks have been tough for Kevin Owens as a SmackDown superstar. First, he failed to win the Undisputed WWE Championship against his close friend Cody Rhodes. Then, he suffered a beatdown at the hands of Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. The Prizefighter is now looking for a partner to help him fend them off.

On the latest episode of SmackDown, Kevin Owens took part in a hilarious backstage segment with Austin Theory, Grayson Waller, and Nick Aldis. The argument led the SmackDown GM to set up a Triple Threat match between the three wrestlers. However, it was not a true Triple Threat match, as the former United States Champion and the Aussie star joined forces to take out the babyface.

Things got a bit awkward when Grayson Waller tried to pin Owens right in front of Austin Theory. The former Universal Champion took advantage of the opening and secured the win. Unfortunately for him, the former tag team champions launched a brutal attack after the match. Several superstars might step up to assist the 40-year-old star next week on SmackDown.

Jimmy Uso returns after WrestleMania XL to help Kevin Owens on SmackDown

One potential return could be that of Jimmy Uso, a former member of The Bloodline. His last appearance was in a grudge match against his brother, Jey Uso, at WrestleMania XL. The 39-year-old star experienced a significant defeat in an underwhelming bout, which displeased Solo Sikoa. In the subsequent episode of SmackDown, he and new Bloodline recruit Tama Tonga launched a brutal assault on Jimmy.

Returning as a tag team partner of the former Universal Champion would certainly give Jimmy a fresh start. It would also establish the 39-year-old star as a babyface. It wouldn’t be surprising if The Bloodline interfered in the match to attack him once again, intensifying the Bloodline civil war storyline even further.

AJ Styles turns babyface and returns to help his old rival after his loss at Clash at the Castle

AJ Styles has been absent since his loss against Rhodes in the I Quit match at the Clash at the Castle in Scotland. A return as a babyface could be a nice surprise for fans, as The Phenomenal One spent some of his best time as the good guy.

Since his return last year, he has been a heel and was involved in a heated rivalry with LA Knight. They wrestled in a singles match at WrestleMania XL, where The Megastar defeated Styles. He also challenged The American Nightmare for the world title but failed multiple times. It will be interesting to see whether he returns as a mystery superstar or not.

Randy Orton reunites with his friend on SmackDown after a heavy loss in Germany

Another possible option is his dear friend Randy Orton, with whom he wrestled many times as his partner. The Viper failed to capitalize on the chance to win the World Heavyweight Title against Gunther in Bash In Berlin. He could return to SmackDown and help his friend against the notorious duo of Theory and Waller.

The two stars joining forces makes perfect sense, considering their history of teaming up against The Bloodline. They wrestled Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga in a Street Fight at Backlash but unfortunately suffered a loss. Not only that, they were also a part of the team alongside Rhodes when they wrestled the dominant faction at Money in the Bank but lost again.
