Former Browns QB Johnny Manziel begged for ex-wife’s forgiveness after cheating scandal

Johnny Manziel has put his past failures behind him and is now enjoying a life filled with golfing, spending time with his family, and watching football on the weekends. The former Cleveland Browns quarterback had a rough time after his football career ended, to add to his woes, his marriage with Bre Tiesi ended after just one year.

Johnny Manziel revealed in the latest iteration of the Netflix reality series Selling Sunset that he begged, cried, and pleaded with Bre Tiesi to stay and work on their marriage. The duo’s marriage ended because Manziel was alleged to have cheated on Tiesi. Manziel reached out to Tiesi as he is in search of a home in Los Angeles and his ex-wife is now associated with the Oppenheim Group, a reputed real estate agency in the region.

Bre Tiesi and Johnny Manziel were having a deep conversation in episode six of season eight. “In the long run of things, I still won. Would you call it a loss?” the former NFL quarterback told Tiesi who quickly shot back with “Yeah, because you lost me, it’s a loss.” After this, Manziel was honest with his ex-wife and admitted to the mistakes he made during the course of their relationship.

He expressed his regrets over the life he previously led filled with partying and being unfaithful. He attributed a large part of it to being lost and depressed.

I learned a lot about what I handled wrong. I was a lost, depressed kid running around the Hollywood Hills getting drunk every night and living in a nightclub. And a lot of time behind your back probably as well.

Manziel achieved a high level of fame and success in a short time. It overwhelmed him and he found himself thrust into a life filled with partying, drugs, and alcohol.

Since then, he has grown and sought help. He turned things around after an attempt to commit suicide failed and gave him a second chance at life. Despite his failed marriage with Tiesi, Manziel is happy for her.

Life goes the way that it's supposed to go. You are in a position now where you got exactly what you wanted in life. And I'm proud of you for that and I'm happy for you.

In addition to this, he expressed a deep sense of regret for being unfaithful to her.

I still feel bad to this day treating you like that. Getting divorced and after we broke up was probably one of the hardest points in my life and I cried and I begged and I pleaded.

By the time Manziel realized his mistake, it was too late for his relationship. He is currently romantically involved with model Josie Canseco. He is now putting his energy into his media career. He recently launched Glory Daze in collaboration with Almost Friday Media.
