It appears that everyone has an opinion regarding the NBA GOAT debate. Usually, it comes down to LeBron James and Michael Jordan. These two guys deserve to be referred to as the greatest of all time. However, when it comes down to former NBA player Jeff Teague‘s opinion on this debate, one would have to double-check his takes.

That is because, just over a month ago on the Million Dollarz Worth of Game podcast, Teague claimed that Michael Jordan is the GOAT of basketball. Now, up until here, it all seemed good until Teague attended a podcast a few days ago. On the Joe and Jada podcast, Teague completely switched his stance on the GOAT debate, claiming LeBron James is the ‘greatest.’

This surely did not go down well with the NBA community. Not only the fans, but also former players and analysts. In particular, former NBA player Rashad McCants took a jab at Teague via his X account.

Proof for anyone with eyes

Rashad McCants tweeted

On the podcast, Teague highlighted how James has taken over the game. He claimed that James has surpassed all the legends statistically. Teague is not incorrect. On the other hand, LeBron is a very well-liked player, but he is not as well-known as Jordan. Recall that Jordan is the reason James sports the number 23. MJ had that kind of effect on people.

All things considered, Jordan’s performance and all of his sponsorships genuinely inspired everyone to aspire to be like Mike. He won ten scoring titles, five MVP awards, six Finals MVP awards, and six crowns in his glorious career.

This is sufficient to qualify as the greatest of all time. LeBron is the all-time top scorer and has won four championships, four Finals MVP awards, four MVP awards, a scoring title, and an assists title. Both players are deserving of the title of best of all time. People from various areas of life continue to voice their ideas in this ongoing dispute.

Jeff Teague went in hard on ESPN replaying Tyrese Haliburton’s Game 7 injury multiple times

Tyrese Haliburton was praised by many for risking his health by playing despite a calf ailment that he had sustained since Game 5. In Game 7, he was on fire, making three of four three-pointers to keep the game close after having a strong Game 6. But he sustained what is thought to be an Achilles injury to his lower leg seven minutes into the match.

Online fans, including Jeff Teague, began yelling at the Network after ESPN continually played the video of Hali being injured during the first half of the game, showing no regard for the impacted team or player.

We don’t need to see that man get hurt a thousand times. I trolled the Pacers all year, but I ain’t like that, that sh– is lame.

Jeff Teague said

Fans thought the entire series was unwatchable because ESPN’s broadcasters are arrogant talking heads. Per fans, they focus more on themselves than the game, so their criticism of the network’s coverage of Game 7 wasn’t the only harsh criticism directed at the network.

Jeff Teauge made a crazy revelation regarding Celtics superstar guard, Jaylen Brown

The Boston Celtics recently traded their star defender, Jrue Holiday, to the Portland Trailblazers, sending shockwaves down the Celtics fanbase. This has left many pondering the Celtics’ future. According to Jeff Teague, if the Boston Celtics aren’t talented enough to win the championship, Jaylen Brown, the 2024 Finals MVP, might now be moved.

I think they could move on from Jaylen Brown too. Not to say he’s not a phenomenal player but you’re not going to win a championship any time soon. It’s over with. The injuries messed up your timeline. To move under the apron, they might as well move on from that contract.

Jeff Teague said on the Club 520 podcast

Depending on the quality of the bids that they get or what they can obtain, Teague thinks the Celtics will think about moving on to other players. Although Jayson Tatum is anticipated to miss the entire season, Joe Mazzulla will make sure the Celtics are successful regardless of their roster.
