Former NBA player EXACTLY predicted JJ Redick and Bronny James move to Lakers two months ago
Rashad McCants saw the Lakers' moves around LeBron James coming months ago.
Rashad McCants perfectly predicted the Lakers offseason moves
The Los Angeles Lakers have been making headlines for the past few weeks now. The team added two huge factors which left the NBA in a frenzy. The Lakers started by hiring JJ Redick as their head coach after a long search. Then, the team drafted Bronny James as the 55th pick to pair him with his dad LeBron James. As many were surprised by the additions, Rashad McCants saw the moves coming.
After their disappointing exit from the playoffs, many wanted the Lakers to fire their coach, Darvin Ham. As Bronny James also had already announced the draft, Rashad McCants made a prediction on the Gil’s Arena Show. Considering James had a podcast with JJ Redick, McCants predicted the Lakers to hire Redick and draft Bronny.
JJ gets hired by the Lakers. LeBron still a player. JJ get to coach LeBron and bring in Bronny. How does that not make no sense.Rashad McCants on Gil’s Arena
James had previously expressed the desire to play alongside his son. Even when Bronny entered the draft, many speculated that James’ future was the reason behind the decision. However, the Redick prediction is truly impressive as the Lakers still had Ham as their coach at the time. The coach was fired just a few days later.
Rashad McCants believed that LeBron James was sending a warning to Lakers to get what he wants
After the Lakers ended their season, James gave a cryptic answer in the press conference which led many to speculate about his potential exit from the team. As the forward had the player option, many believed that James would not continue with the Lakers. To make matters worse, James attended a Cleveland Cavaliers game during the playoffs.
As most were delighted to see James back to his drafting team, others looked at the move as a sign. McCants was one of them as according to him, James was sending a warning to the Lakers. If the Lakers fail to fulfill James’ desires, the star would leave to join the Cavaliers.
This is a clear sign to LA. If you don’t give me what I want, you know where the hell I’ll go.

The ‘desires’ in the case were Bronny and Redick. McCants might have also been accurate about this one, as James announced his decision to stay with the team as soon as they drafted Bronny. Now the duo is the first father-son duo to be teammates in the NBA.
