Former player wants LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant to team up at New York Knicks to ‘f**k history up’
LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant teaming up at New York Knicks and winning NBA title would rewrite NBA history.

New York Knicks having LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant on their team will send NBA into a frenzy
Team USA winning gold at the Paris Olympics gave fans one of the greatest memories from the game of basketball. The sight of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant teaming up and playing alongside each other is going to be basketball folklore. It also left many wondering if the three could team up on an NBA team. That thought brought out a wild idea in Gilbert Arenas‘ mind.
The former All-Star was speaking with his panel on his show Gil’s Arena. While talking about the prospect of the three superstars playing together, Arenas said:
As a basketball fan...I just want to see it. If I'm them, personally, just to f*ck history up, I go to New York. They win a championship, I guarantee you whatever they say about KD & LeBron James, New York fans will stand ground.Gilbert Arenas on Gil’s Arena
That is no doubt a wild theory by anyone’s imagination. Certainly, the Knicks and their fans will never let the NBA world forget if something like this happens.
Gilbert Arenas was also right in saying that all the hate LeBron James and Kevin Durant receive now won’t matter if they team up with Stephen Curry and lead the Knicks to a title. As Knicks fans, known all across the country as the most passionate NBA fans there ever can be, will defend them.
That will, as Arenas referred, make everyone forget about whatever basketball has given them in history. Other franchises could be better situations for them to win a title. But with the New York Knicks, it will be the epitome of basketball.
LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant do have a chance to team up
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar hinted long back that once his son Bronny James plays alongside him, he will have achieved everything. On the other hand, Stephen Curry’s contract will come to a close after the 2025-26 season. So that means, all three have their contracts up at the same time and will be unrestricted free agents.
That alone gives any team a chance to create history, wanting to bring the three on to the same team. Yes, they will be possibly way past their peaks. Maybe even struggling with fitness. But if say the Villanova Wildcats experiment the New York Knicks are going to implement doesn’t work out, owner James Dolan may want to try.
Now if the three decide to take veteran minimum deals, then they could be playing alongside established younger stars. The trio can then have spurts of scoring and rest, while the younger players continue to hold the lead. That makes it a prime recipe for a championship run.
