Marcellus Wiley played for a decade in the NFL. The defensive end spent his career in Buffalo, San Diego, Jacksonville, and Dallas. His name has become controversial due to allegations of sexual misconduct against him. Now, two more women have stepped forward to accuse Wiley of r*** during his time at Columbia University.

The lawsuit alleges that Marcellus Wiley forced himself onto them in 1994 when he was part of the football team. This makes it the third case filed by a former student of Columbia who attended college along with Wiley. The first suit was filed against him in November 2023 and the complaint alleged that Wiley sexually assaulted the complainant multiple times in her dorm room.

One of the victims in the recently filed cases claims that she was compelled to be intimate with him. She alleges that the defensive end invited her to his dorm room on October 27, 1994, and he began to overpower her before r***ing her.

The victim claims that she continually said “no repeatedly” but that did not make Wiley stop as he “then swung (her) legs on the bed, lunged towards her and overpowered” her while whispering “relax, enjoy it, stop crying, and stop fighting the feeling.” The account is disturbing and these allegations are serious.

It can ruin Marcellus Wiley’s public image and undermine Columbia’s management. This is because the victim states that she had reported the incident to an administration but was urged not to file a criminal complaint because then she “would be known as the girl who destroyed a black man’s NFL dream.” This rendered the victim helpless. She was not a student at Columbia but studied at Barnard.

Marcellus Wiley has not responded to the recent allegations against him

The second victim alleged that Wiley went after her one month later. His attorneys have not released a statement following the latest lawsuit. The first case alleging sexual misconduct was filed under the Adult Survivors Act in the New York Supreme Court. One of the victims of the recent cases states that she attempted to seek help from the university, however, the “administrators expressed fondness” for Wiley and downplayed her claims by terming the incident as ” a misunderstanding.”

One Kathleen McDermott, who was the Residential Dean at the time is alleged to have told the victim that Wiley did not r*** her because she “was not from America and had therefore misinterpreted defendant’s conduct because ‘people from different cultures interpret things differently.’ The defensive end was disciplined by the University on multiple occasions but in the form of academic probation citing ‘poor grades.’

In the first case filed against him in 2023, Wiley admitted that he spent the night in the girl’s dorm room but denied having intercourse with her. In his statement, he said he did not want to have intercourse with her because she was a virgin.

If you’re a virgin, I am not going to be your first, because I am not looking at it with the same respect, esteem, honor that you should. We did mess around, but no intercourse.

Marcellus Wiley testified

He then claimed that the student had gone on to tell people that “she didn’t like” their interaction in the dorm room because she had a boyfriend at the time and did not wish to tarnish her reputation.

The former Pro Bowler played for ten seasons in the NFL. After his retirement from football, he went on to become a media personality for ESPN’s ‘SportsNation’ and then briefly worked with Fox Sports as he regularly featured on FS1‘s ‘Speak for Yourself.’
