The Ferrari sister team Alfa Romeo has recently announced that they have made changes to their team name and logo for the 2022 Formula1 season.

It has been stated in f1technical.net that the formerly known Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN is now going to be called Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN for the upcoming season of the pinnacle of motorsports that is Formula1. The team is going to be seen in action for the first time under the new name and the logo will be at the pre-season testing in Barcelona next month.

The 2022 Formula1 season is going to be a fresh start for the team with two new drivers taking the place of Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi. For the 2022 season, the team has recruited former Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas and former Alpine Formula2 driver Guanyu Zhou who will be in his rookie F1 season during 2022.

The new changes will be reflected in the chassis names submitted to the FIA. It will change from Alfa Romeo Racing to Alfa Romeo. This acts as a symbol of further harmony by the team with the most historical marquees in the motorsports world.

It also reflects the strong racing DNA of both Sauber and Alfa Romeo, and the history these brands embody.“
