Leo Turrini:“Ferrari has an advantage in knowing its own car”
Ferrari bounced back after a troublesome 2021 season. The team devoted all their resources to perfecting their new-regulations car early on and they reap the success. since its launch the Ferrari F1-75 showed throughout the Pre-season test that it was a worthy contender for the title. Leo Turrini wrote in his blog on Quotidiano.net describing the Scuderia’s performance in Australia.
“Ferrari has an advantage in knowing its own car that is not always quantifiable. Some choices that were risky for others did not scare the technicians of Maranello. One above all to technically accept porpoising, or some problems that may derive from it, in order to maintain high performance in medium-fast corners.” He added, “It is important for Ferrari to understand its own car. Against such a concept, even Adrian Newey can’t manage to fight it.”
Ferrari is on course to cement their lead on the championship as Leclerc claims their and his second win of the 2022 season. And the Scuderia, comfortably sit on top of the Constructor’s championship with a 49 point lead on Mercedes in second place. Leclerc leads the drivers’ championship by 34 points which is more than anyone did during any point in the 2021 season.
