Haas get permission to run half a testing day on Sunday after missing the first morning of Bahrain pre-season testing

Ahead of the season’s official Pre-season Testing in Bahrain, Haas faced a delay as the plane transporting the team F1’s cars and equipment to Bahrain has broken down in Istanbul. The VF-22 cars were stranded in an airport in Doncaster and arrived late on Tuesday in Bahrain. Thus the team had to write off the morning session of the first day.
Haas has requested permission to run on Sunday to regain some of the lost half a day of testing which will be crucial for their 2022 campaign. And there seems to be some sign of relief as the team seems to have found a solution to the missed session.

Why Haas will get an extra session of Pre-season Testing on Sunday
Haas already have a lot of woes to address ahead of the official pre-season testing in Bahrain. The Team completed the lowest amount of laps after suffering numerous reliability issues in the Barcelona Testing. With upgrades and improvements added to the VF-22, the session would be important ahead of the 2022 season.
Haas had requested Formula One to grant them an extra half-day of practice as they missed out due to unforeseen circumstances. According to Auto, Motor und Sport, they have secured the testing period on Sunday. Mick Schumacher will be driving the car.
Haas will be participating in the Afternoon session of the first day. Reserve Driver Pietro Fittipaldi will be driving the car. The team also confirmed that former driver Kevin Magnussen will be returning to the team as a replacement for Mazepin and joining Mick Schumacher for the 2022 season. Magnussen is expected to feature for Haas in the final days of the Testing.
