Haas set to miss the first morning of F1 testing in Bahrain after being hit by freight delay

Haas has been in the news for all the right reasons recently but the team has had to deal with a lot of problems during this process. All of this started when Russian President decided to declare war against Ukraine which has led to the deaths of many civilians and soldiers and left Ukraine in a miserable state but the country of Ukraine collectively continues to fight against the horrific acts of Russia.

This directly impacted Haas which decided to take stand against Russia in their own capacity. Haas is sponsored by a Russian Brand Uralkali. Haas decided that it has nothing to do with a Russian brand and dropped Uralkali which could mean that the team might incur a net loss of $40 million in the coming year. The team also decided to drop the Russian driver Nikita Mazepin from its line-up and has chosen to go with Pietro Fittipaldi.

But now as the team was getting ready to put this behind them, another logistical problem occurred in front of them. The two VF-22s and its spare parts have been unfortunately stuck at the Doncaster airport as the plane which was supposed to carry it has experienced technical difficulties.

The team has got some both good news and bad news. The freighted has arrived but it hasn’t come in time to get the car on track for the morning session of F1 testing in Bahrain.

“We were looking for replacement solutions, which is a gamble given the tense situation in cargo air traffic.”

‘The rest of the teams expect the bulk of their equipment to arrive in Bahrain in time.”

The team’s freight arrived late last night to the circuit in Bahrain,” the team tweeted.

“This delay will impact our programme but we are targeting being out on track for the second session Thursday afternoon.” As reported by planetf1.

Since Haas has confirmed that Pietro Fittipaldi would be driving for them, it would have been better for him to get on track as soon as possible since he will take time to adapt to the changes made in the new F1 challengers.
