Alfa Romeo's C-42
Alfa Romeo has finally revealed its challenger for this upcoming season of F1. Alfa Romeo was the last team to reveal their challenger and we can all say that it has been worth the wait. After Alfa Romeo’s reveal of their new car, the C-42, the grid has been completed for the new season.
The new challenger is definitely eye-catching with a livery of bright red and white colors. The new Alfa Romeo car has an engine which has been powered by a new Ferrari engine which reminds us of the patrimony of Alfa Romeo, marking the 30th year in F1 for the Hinwil team.
The team has been able to secure the signature of the experienced Valtteri Bottas from Mercedes. The seasoned campaigner was with Mercedes for the last five season before leaving them and making way for George Russell to take over. Valtteri always was low man on the totem pole and always played as a second fiddle to Lewis Hamilton but this season could mark him taking charge of the situation.
Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou all set to compete for Alfa Romeo
Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou are revving up to start their new season and try out their new challenger. The duo is a perfect blend of youth and experience which could lead the team to success. Both of them sounded all charged up in a recent interview.
Valtteri Bottas said, “I think the livery is really beautiful, the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile did a brilliant job.”
“It’s my first car at Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN, of course, which makes it special, and I am really looking forward to being on the grid in Bahrain with it. What is exciting is that we have no idea how that first race is going to pan out.”
Guanyu Zhou said, “We are at the beginning of a new era, with new cars and new regulations, and this creates an opportunity for all teams to make progress since we are all starting from scratch.“
“I can’t wait to be on the grid with this car and work with my team to bring home the results we are targeting together.” As reported by skysports.
Valtteri Bottas has been a terrific inclusion in the team for this Hinwil team and also for Guanyu Zhou who could learn so much from this experienced campaigner. Alfa Romeo has definitely brought about a sense of excitement with the launch of this new car but we shall have to wait for race day to test out it performance and give a fair assessment of the same.
