Aston Martin
Aston Martin has announced their 2022 challenger which will be driven by Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll to much delight of fans. Their car, AMR22, was unveiled in Aston Martins Gaydon headquarters and was broadcasted live through Aston Martin’s official YouTube channel and other media handles.

Aston Martin became the 3rd team to launch their challenger following the likes of Haas and Red Bull. Contrary to Red Bull and Haas launches which featured mainly the livery without offering a look into the new features, Aston Martin have shared a more complete car. The cooling louvers of the car are on the top of the sidepods and the sidepods features narrow inlets. There is also a gap between the tip of the nose and the bottom front wing

Find out what Aston Martin Chief technical officer Andy Green had to say about the new challenger
Aston Martin Chief technical officer Andy Green expressed his opinion on the radical changes that had gone to the car saying “The 2022 regulations are like no other that has gone before: a radical change of direction in both concept and application, probably the most significant change of chassis regulations ever implemented, with an incredibly small amount of carry-over from 2021 into 2022. As a direct result of that, the past winter has undoubtedly been the toughest we have ever had. But with new regulations come new challenges and new opportunities,”

Andy Green went on to say the car launched is going to see an evaluation through this season concerning the challenges that may come their way “The AMR22 we see is our ‘first’ iteration under these new regulations. It will evolve dramatically over the coming months as we run the cars for real and begin to understand the challenges involved. That will, in turn, forge the direction for 2023 and beyond,”
How Twitter reacted to Aston Martins new car
The F1 community shared their happiness and appreciation for Aston Martin for showing a more complete car than a showpiece with journalist Chris Medland commenting “Fair play to Aston, showing off the real thing and it looks so much better to see something detailed. Big fan of the style of the 2022 cars“
Another comment read “Masterclass the presentation of Aston Martin and the AMR22 is really beautiful, I was afraid that the single-seaters would look too much like the FOM prototype, but I’m not disappointed!”
“AMR22 is one beautiful car” Athlete David Lima commented.
