“It’s been a rollercoaster ride,” Kevin Magnussen recollects journey back to formula One after stunning Qualification

Haas’s Kevin Magnussen was undoubtedly the hero of the Qualifying session ahead of the 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix. The Dane qualified P7 on his Formula One return with a time of 1:31.808. And fans can’t control their praises for outstanding efforts.
The first Qualifying session of the year went underway ahead of the 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc came on top as the Pole sitter for the first race weekender of the 2022 season. He set a time of 1:30.558 and took the first spot ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.
The flying Dane stunned everyone by outperforming the likes of Mercedes’s George Russell, Alpine’s Fernando Alonso, AlphaTauri’ Pierre Gasly and both McLarens of Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris. His Teammate Mick Schumacher finished P12.

Kevin Magnussen recollects his epic return to Formula One

Kevin Magnussen joined Haas after a hiatus from Formula One. He left Haas after the end of the 2020 season and was replaced by Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher. Kevin was called to replace the Russian after his team cut ties with Mazepin. In his post-qualification interview, Kevin recollects his journey so far.
He stated, “It has been a massive rollercoaster. From getting the call from Guenther, I was really surprised by that. There were some obstacles that I had to overcome. I was already a bit nervous. then getting here, driving the car for the first time, having a sore neck, what rollercoaster ride! I’m certainly hungry. I feel so unbelievably lucky to be in this situation, with a goof car in Formula One, it’s a lot of fun”
This also marks the first instance where a Haas car made it till Q3 since the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix and the Dane’s best qualifying since Monaco 2019. The Bahrain Grand Prix is scheduled on Sunday, March 20 at 15:00 hours GMT.
