McLaren announce a brand new partnership extension ahead of 2022 Saudi Arabian GP

McLaren have recently announced a multi-year partnership extension and expansion with American multinational technology conglomerate Cisco. Cisco’s internet communication platform ‘Webex’ is present prominently on the MCL 36 driven by both Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris.

Carrie Palin, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Cisco, said “McLaren Racing shares our unceasing commitment to innovation, and we believe that together we can push the boundaries of what’s possible in order to develop the most connected F1 team in history.”

Cisco entered a partnership with McLaren ahead of the 2021 season as the “Official Collaboration Partner” of the team. The team have utilised Cisco platform extensively in the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, UK.

McLaren will continue to leverage Webex’s industry-leading suite of cloud-based collaboration tools and emerging technology solutions such as Webex Hologram, overcoming geographical boundaries to bring fans and partners around the world closer to the team. McLaren uses Cisco’s Wi-Fi 6E to enable fast and reliable connectivity both on race day and at the team’s headquarters.

McLaren used the Webex platform for the live streaming of the car launch and multiple fan engagement events. The Webex branding will be carried on the McLaren MCL36 and the race suits worn by Lando and Daniel.
