Mohammed Ben Sulayem the FIA President has called for an unprecedented meeting of the World Motor Sport Council and this has come in the wake of Russia’s invasion into Ukraine.
The FIA President via his TWITTER account has made everyone aware that he is calling for a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council tomorrow. The sports fraternity all over the world have been making tough decisions against Vladamir Putin’s Russia and tomorrow’s meeting has been called to discuss the Ukraine crisis in detail on part of the FIA.

Ever since Vladamir Putin’s declaration of war against Ukraine the world has been thrown into disarrays and world-recognized organizations like FIFA and various others have condemned the actions of Vladamir Putin and have hit Russia hard by suspending the Russian Football team and Russian clubs from all competitions until further notice.

The outcome of Mohammed Ben Sulayem’s meeting could very well put further restrictions on Russia and its hopes of staging a Formula1 Grand Prix during the 2022 season. Many of the Formula1 stars have raised their voice against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the former RedBull and Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel has blatantly stated his opinion regarding the whole Ukraine saga and has stated that “it is just not right to go to Russia, personally, I won’t go there.”

People all over the world are disgusted by the actions of Russia and have held protests against their invasion all over the world and have come out in support of Ukraine. Sports is something that unites the world and it has been proven once again as teams of various sports have been doing their bit by asking the Russians to withdraw from Ukraine during their matches.

Formula1 has a huge fan base all over the world and with the WMSC meeting slated for tomorrow, it is going to be very interesting to see the outcome of the meeting. One thing that is almost guaranteed is that it is not going to be anything positive for Russia.
