Red Bull F1 announce new team name as Oracle steps up to become title sponsor

Red Bull have unveiled a new car and a new title sponsor for the 2022 season. On the 9th of February, Red bull unveiled their 2022 racecar the RB18. But the biggest news of the evening is that the team has announced Oracle as a new title sponsor.
The team will be formally known as Oracle Red Bull Racing after their partnership with the cloud computing and Information Technology giant. The new partnership is a huge boost to Red Bull as the team seeks to defend the World Drivers Championship title won by Max Verstappen.
Along with the perks of sponsorship, Oracle will be lending its technical prowess and expertise to Red Bull. The partnership will help strengthen the highly analytical race strategy management and in their engine development.

Red Bull: “Oracle helped us win the Championship”
The title partnership was revealed by Team Principal and CEO, Christian Horner during the Car Launch. He spoke about the partnership with Red Bull. “Oracle Cloud-enabled us to make race-day decisions that helped Max Verstappen win the 2021 Drivers’ Championship,” he said praising Oracle.
“Discovering and reacting to opportunities quickly is crucial to our success on and off the track, and Oracle is integral in that effort. Every element of our performance is driven by data analysis. Having Oracle as our title partner shows the confidence we have in their expertise and their ability to deliver a true competitive advantage.”
Oracle Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Ariel Kelman said “Oracle Red Bull Racing is, and will continue to be, the most forward-thinking and innovative F1 team in the world.” during the announcement. Red Bull posted on their Social media announcing the partnership with the caption “It’s official, Oracle… Launching into a new chapter of innovation in F1 with our title partner”
Red Bull used Oracle Cloud to increase the number of simulations they ran during the 2021 campaign helping their strategists make the right decisions. Oracle will help support Red Bull in connecting with their fanbase through initiatives such as the fan loyalty platform. There are plans to venture into the growing E-sports segment with their very own Oracle Red Bull Racing Esports team.
