Red Bull’s sister team Scuderia AlphaTauri announced the unveiling date for their 2022 challenger

Scuderia AlphaTauri, the Italian Formula 1 racing team and sister team of Red Bull Racing has announced the date for release of their 2022 F1 challenger through their Twitter handle. Formerly known as Toro Rosso, the team tweeted that their new car AT03 will be unveiled in February 17 captioning the post “Almost ready to enter a new era of Formula 1 ? mark your calendars, the AT03 is coming! ?”

AlphaTauri follows Aston Martin, McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes and Alpine in announcing the lauch date for their new Challenger. As per the latest details Aston Martin will be the 1st team to unveil their challenger which they will do on February 10 followed by McLaren next day February 11. They will be followed by Ferrari who will unveil their cars on February 17, Mercedes in February 18 and Alpine in February 21.

Alfa Romeo, Hass, Williams and 2021 champion Max Verstappen’s Red Bull are the teams left o announce the unveiling date for their challengers.

What’s ahead of AlphaTauri in 2022

AlphaTauri finished P6 in 2021 constructers championship losing the P5 to Alpine Renault. AlphaTauri secured 142 championship points in 2021 thanks to their driver’s  Pierre Gasly who finished P9 in drivers’ championship with 110 points and rookie Yuki Tsunoda who finished in P14 with 32 points. The inconsistent performance  from their Rookie Yuki Tsunoda caused team a top 5 finish which they deserved.

Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda duo was retained by the AlphaTauri for 2022. Pierre Gasly is in his potential last years with the Italians as he is expected to take his seat back at Red Bull, which he lost due t his inconsistency and the driver is in right path as he showcased that he is ready for the big leagues following the incredible 2021 campaign, also securing the teams only podium in 2021. His partner Yuki Tsunoda on the other hand is in pressure to end his inconstant run and will hoping 2022 will be a redemption season for him.
