Sebastian Vettel admits to being a huge fan of activist Greta Thunberg

Sebastian and Greta
Sebastian Vettel the current Formula1 driver for the Aston Martin Formula1 team has recently come out in the media and has admitted the fact that he is a huge fan of the young environmental activist Greta Thunberg. Greta is only 19 years old.
It has been stated in Essentiallysports that the former four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel in a recent interview has applauded Greta Thunberg for the work that she has been doing to make this world a better, sustainable place to live. Sebastian Vettel himself being an environmentalist has said that he is a huge fan of her and the work she has been doing.

During Sebastian’s early days in Formula1, he was a hot-headed bloke who was hated by most of the Formula1 fans, but ever since the last few years, he has managed to become one of the most adored racing drivers on the Formula1 grid. With age, he has developed himself into a more down-to-earth person who now prefers simple things over the flashy stuff that he was fond of early in his Formula1 career.

While talking about Greta Thunberg Sebastian has said “It is encouraging to see that she is fighting for our future with such determination. A real example that the whole world should follow and, above all, older men should pay more attention. But there are many role models, many inspiring people. I always find it hard to name a name.”
Sebastian Vettel on his decision to leave Ferrari

The former RedBull world champion has opened up on his decision to leave Ferrari and has said that it had nothing to do with his growing interest in social matters. “I didn’t have to change teams,” he said.
He has further added “I think I have just gotten older. Even as a father, views, and opinions shift. You take on responsibility and grow with it. In addition, I’m naturally curious and open to other opinions. I find this process natural and completely independent of my team or profession.”

At Aston Martin, he has got the liberty to pursue his environmental interests with full freedom as the drivers don’t have to deal with the pressure of fighting at the front end of the grid. Over the course of last season, they have easily become a mid-table team and the pressure in the middle half is relatively less as compared to people fighting at the front.
