Sergio Perez urges time will make him ‘stronger’ at RedBull

Sergio Perez the current Formula1 driver for RedBull has warned everyone that time is going to make him stronger at RedBull. He believes that with time he got better during the 2021 Formula1 season and is adamant his progress is going to continue during the 2022 Formula1 season.

It has been stated in GPfans that Sergio Perez while looking back on his 2021 season has said that after he arrived from Racing Point, he struggled a bit in the starting stages as he had very little time in the car before the first race. Sergio believes he got better and better as the 2021 season progressed.

Sergio Perez was asked to give his view on the adaptation process at RedBull and he stated that “We have to take into account the fact that I came into a very different philosophy of car compared to what I have been driving all my career.”

He further added that “In that aspect, it has been a slow adaptation, but yes, just a very different car, very different engine. A lot of new different things to learn with a new team with no testing, basically.” He believes that during the 2021 season there were a lot of new aspects to learn at RedBull but has admitted that the 2021 season was promising nonetheless.

He is very optimistic regarding the 2022 season and feels the longer he and RedBull stay together the better it is going to be for him in getting stronger and stronger. During the 2021 season, Sergio Perez scored just one win and was able to get on the podium four times for the Austria-based RedBull team.

Sergio is very optimistic regarding his chances in the 2021 season and has admitted that with the 2021 season behind him, he now is in sync with the car and knows how to properly drive it. He believes during the 2022 season of Formula1 he would be able to get the maximum out of the car in terms of performance.
