Ferrari to introduce a new power unit in Spain, with a forecast of massive gains: Report

Ferrari
Ferrari’s SF-75 has emerged as arguably the most perfect car in the F1 2022 season, which was made at the Maranello outfit following all the new regulations that FIA had introduced ahead of the new season. The pace of the red beast has aided Ferrari prodigy Charles Leclerc to attain top spots in all the three races till now. The Monegasque scored P1 in Bahrain and in Australia and P2 at Jeddah.
Not just qualifying speed, the SF-75 has enough race pace as well. When Max Verstappen pushed against Charles Leclerc in the season opener in Bahrain, Leclerc was successful in holding off Verstappen’s RB-18 due to the great race pace that the SF-75 provides him. Carlos Sainz has also delivered a formidable performance in his Ferrari, except for when he had to retire in the Australian race due to reliability issues with his car. With all these advantages to the car, Ferrari has finally built a machine that can win the Italian team their first World Championship since 2008.
But the Ferrari engineers at their factory in Maranello have not rested ever since the season began. They are always looking for ways to better their car and now, we are getting reports that quite a few changes are in store for the SF-75 in the races to come.
An updated diffuser, a new rear suspension–Ferrari is trying to achieve perfection with their SF-75

Ever since the pre-season testing started for Formula 1 2022, Ferrari has not had to make any major changes to the car because they had enough race pace and adequate reliability. While most teams are racing to make changes to the car before entering the Imola Grand Prix weekend, Ferrari Boss Mattia Binotto stated Ferrari is not looking to unleash its first set of changes for the car yet.
Still, Binotto did make a comment on some minor tweaks to the car that the engineers have been planning, so that the Scuderia can race shoulder-to-shoulder with the likes of Red Bull and Mercedes once they give their cars the first updates of the season.
“We will try to mitigate the issues we have got still so far,” Binotto said. “I’m thinking of the porpoising and the bouncing that has affected our performance over the weekend.”
Coming to some big updates for the SF-75, we have some word about when we will be seeing those. Between the races in Miami and Barcelona, Ferrari will introduce their new power unit, with 10 Hp more energy than their previous one. The new rear suspension that shows promise to remove porpoising completely, might be released by the team in the second half of the season. Ferrari have already tested a new diffuser in Australia and they will have another run with it in Imola.
With all these changes in the car, Ferrari looks as competitive as ever in this season of Formula 1. Will the Maranello outfit be successful in winning the Constructors’ Championship for a record-breaking 17th time? That remains to be seen.
