George Russell has returned to Mercedes and it has been one of the most inspiring stories that we’ll come to hear.  George Russell drove for Mercedes last season for one race in the absence of the COVID ridden Lewis Hamilton.

Mercedes has had their eyes on this prodigy for a really long time. After seeing magic he sprinkled on that track in the one race he drove for them, the switch was pretty much inevitable.

The three prodigies, which shall include the likes of Max Verstappen, Lando Norris and George Russell, for their respective teams will be seen fighting out for bragging rights. Nobody can question the talent of three drivers but what needs to be seen is the temperament and determination they show.

George Russell might be starting one of his more successful campaigns after moving from Williams. He took full advantage of the opportunity to flaunt his new helmet and also gave us a glimpse of his potentially new gear for the upcoming season.

Russell had a plethora of options, including the red helmet he used to wear for his previous team, to choose from. He gave an interesting reply when asked about why he didn’t go for his last helmet.

“A red helmet in a Mercedes is very Michael Schumacher, and I want to respect that,” said the Mercedes driver.

There have been multiple reports in connection to this debate. But the fact that Russell has gone for black helmet and more or less a black outfit, this might be putting certain rumors to bed. But we can never be sure of Mercedes.

The team can always pop up with a surprise and come with something that absolutely no one expected. We can’t be sure of the gear still and will have to wait for the start of the season which shall be the Bahrain Grand Prix.

“Yet there is something remarkable about Russell’s statement: in Schumacher’s time the Mercedes cars were silver, which earned them the nickname “silver arrows,” as reported by gpblog.

When the great Michael Schumacher was around, Mercedes had a silver outfit which brought around the name “Silver Arrows,” which could possible mean a return of the silver. But there’s no certainty as there has been no official statement from Mercedes regarding the same and will have to wait for the season to start.
