“I’m Loving it!” Pierre Gasly reacts to AlphaTauri AT03 car launch

Pierre Gasly had no hesitation in expressing his excitement to drive the 2022 AlphaTauri car. The Frenchman shared a tweet on his official Twitter account and as he couldn’t curb the elegant and stunning new car. He shared his thoughts during the launch of the AT03.

Gasly scored a podium for AlphaTauri at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix last season and finished ninth in the drivers’ standings. His heroic effort and win during the 2020 Monza Grand Prix earned the team its second race victory as a constructor and was Gasly’s maiden race win.

AlphaTauri will be using the Red Bull-branded Honda engines after the Japanese automotive giant had quit Formula One at the end of the 2021 F1 season. Red Bull will be manufacturing their Powertrains which will be shared by the two and will be crucial to their performance across the season.

Pierre Gasly believes there is “a huge change to the car”

AlphaTauri launched the AT03 on 14th February and the car has taken the internet to storm. The new livery of the fashion and apparel company owned by Red Bull has caught the attention of many. The car is the 3rd car since the rebranding from Torro Rosso.

“I am excited to finally reveal what our 2022 Formula 1 car will look like,” said Team Principal Franz Tost. “It is a completely new era for F1 and we hope that this package will be very strong, following last year’s success,” he added following the successful launch of the car.

Gasly shared “This year sees a huge change to the car as, due to the new regulations, the look and design are completely different, so the team has had to start from a clean sheet of paper. We won’t know the true performance of the AT03 until we get it out on track at pre-season testing in Barcelona but so far, I think it looks great and I am very excited to get this new season started.”

The team will be participating in the official 2022 pre-season testing in Barcelona from 23rd to 25th of February. AlphaTauri has retained Yuki Tsunoda and Pierre Gasly for the 2022 season. The team finished 6th in the constructor’s standings.
