Kevin Magnussen’s comeback in F1 has been nothing short of a fairy tale. The Danish’s return was nowhere in sight, and the driver was ready to leave for vacation when Haas‘ team principal Guenther Steiner called him up after the team terminated Nikita Mazepin’s contract due to geopolitical changes. And since his return, he’s been in spectacular form, having gathered points for the team in both the races so far.

The driver, who’s been part of the Haas F1 team for quite a while, in his recent comments, applauded the structure of the team. Magnussen pointed out excellent communication as well, which is possible due to the team’s size being small and compact.

Kevin Magnussen, as quoted by GP Fans, said, “It’s a simple structure in this team and it’s a small, little, intimate team. It’s very unique in Formula 1 terms to be this intimate and to know the names of that many people within it. It’s kind of cool.”

Haas began its sixth season in 2022 in F1, and it couldn’t have come with a better result than K-Mag’s P5 and Mick Schumacher’s P11. The team looks competitive this season, and their comeback has definitely brought a smile to every fan of F1.

Kevin Magnussen compared the structure of the team with other teams and reasoned why Haas is better than them. He said, “The structure is different to other teams. We outsource a lot of stuff, but it just means it’s very straight communication throughout the whole team, and I think that plays to some advantages. When you have a problem, you can easily address it, and once you address it, you can easily adjust, whereas, with bigger teams, I think it takes longer to turn things around.”

It’s evident from the driver’s statements that he is enjoying his time with the team. Both the driver and the team easily acquitted back upon the former’s return and the chemistry appears to be good between the both. Haas will surely be looking for more points in Australia, especially for Mick.
