The Australian GP returns after two years. The race was scheduled to be the season opener of the 2020 season, but Albert Park couldn’t host it then and the following year as well.

Chris Medland, a popular F1 journalist, in his column, says, “Landing in Melbourne feels a little bit like returning to the scene of a crime. Just over two years ago, the world was changing rapidly, and Formula 1 – alongside the race organizers – was trying to pretend it wasn’t.”

The journalist took digs at the sporting authorities and organizers for not acknowledging the changes the world was going through back in 2020. But he also expressed his delight at the return of the Australian GP by saying, “And now we’re here, back in Australia with a brand new set of regulations that appear to be providing a much better racing product, and with a sport that is in an incredibly healthy position.”

In his column, Chris puts out several points that make the race in Australia a thrilling one and a must-watch. He also appreciates efforts taken by the authorities to keep F1 healthy, despite some blunderous rumors in Australia 2020.

He said, “F1 has found itself in a positive cycle, with a good on-track product entertaining new audiences that leads to extra sponsorship interest and improved financial outlooks, allowing the focus to be on the on-track product, and so on. From the mess it got itself in two years ago in Melbourne, to be in such a position of strength now is an incredibly impressive achievement.”

The Australian GP is all set to be the third race of the season. The iconic race, on its comeback, has made some changes to its layout, to make the racing with the new generation of cars even more exciting.
