Haas were the only team this season that managed to score 0 points throughout the campaign. Haas signed two new rookie drivers, Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher this season, and as a result, there was bound to be a year where they score less points.

Ralf Schumacher, brother of legendary driver, Michael Schumacher believes that Nikita Mazepin should consider things outside F1. The former driver believes that Mazepin drove well in F2, but this year he has seemed to be headed into the wrong direction.

Nikita Mazepin is confirmed as Haas’ driver for the next season, as he lines up with Mick Schumacher once again.

Mazepin was certainly a good driver in Formula 2. But this year he has developed in the wrong direction and should actually do something else. He doesn’t necessarily have to drive Formula 1,” said Schumacher.

Mick Schumacher, Ralf’s nephew also scored zero points during the campaign and he will hope to break his duck in 2022. Ralf Schumacher believes that Mick needs some experienced to drive alongside him, which will help his nephew evolve as a driver.

Ralf Schumacher stated that Haas’ cars were no were designed to be capable of finishing in the top 10, and for Mick to remain competitive next season, he will surely need a much better package.

[He needs someone] who can help him. Someone who can work with him to move the team forward, so that Mick is not alone in a lost cause,” he added.

However, Ralf Schumacher stated that once his nephew gets his desired car, then the onus will be on him to deliver. Sebastian Vettel, four-time world champion and fellow German praised Mick Schumacher for his debut season in F1.

It depends on what Haas makes available to him,” Ralf said about the prospect of Mick breaking his duck. Then it’s up to him to implement it,” added Schumacher.
