This weekend F1 has returned to Australia after two years, having raced last in 2019. The two subsequent editions were canceled due to the pandemic. With the 2022 weekend beginning with the FP1 session, it couldn’t have had a better start, as we saw one of the best dights in F1. We saw Sebastian Vettel driving a scooter on the track after the session was red-flagged after Vettel’s Aston Martin overheated and caught fire.

On a track with cars racing with speeds of over 300kmph, it was delightful to see Vettel riding a scooter with a smile and his car helmet still on. The entertainment by the veteran cost him 5000 Euros as he was later fined by the authorities for his action.

Sebastian Vettel is racing his first weekend of the 2022 season after having missed the first two due to covid. the return of the German saw challenges with pace. After catching the fire Aston Martin couldn’t field Seb for FP2. thus he’d be racing directly in FP3, followed by qualifying for the Australian GP.

Aston Martin’s woes seem to be never-ending. The team firstly suffered the setback when Sebastian Vettel was found covid positive ahead of the season opener in Bahrain, which also led to him missing the race in Saudi Arabia. Then the team is struggling to find the pace in its AMR22.

Now, in the FP1 of the Australian GP, Vettel’s car caught fire. This also resulted in the return of the fireman Seb, a name given by the fans to Sebastian Vettel in the past for using fire extinguishers. Fireman Seb took over the fire extinguisher from the marshalls and cooled down his car’s fire.

Aston Martin must now work well with Sebastian who can help the team with important feedback and help massively with the improvement. his return could prove to be the only thing that the team has needed all along.
