Does Valtteri Bottas have a twin? No, he doesn’t. But it surely surprised us when lookalike was spotted at the Olympics. Olympic curling star Matt Hamilton had left us confused because the resemblance between him and Valtteri Bottas was uncanny.

Formula 1 season is going to start soon. The pressure on the drivers right now is a little less than usual. That’s why the drivers have a little time to relax and enjoy themselves before the season takes a toll on them.

There are a lot of events going on throughout the world, one being the Winter Olympics in Beijing. Canadian TV channel BBC was the first to spot the resemblance and post it on Twitter for the world to see.

Valtteri Bottas bids farewell to Mercedes and starts his journey with Alfa Romeo

Valtteri Bottas

Bottas has been with one Hamilton who was his teammate in Formula 1 for Mercedes from 2017-21. Bottas has been more than just a team mate for Lewis Hamilton as he has helped him at every step of the way unselfishly and helped the former champion fight for the title. He was also spectacular as far his individual performances were concerned too which helped Mercedes win the constructors’ championship

But we didn’t know about this combination of Valtteri Bottas and the new Hamilton, Matt Hamilton.

Bottas is now embarking on the next stage of his career in the series having made the switch to Alfa Romeo, where for 2022 he will find himself alongside Chinese rookie Guanyu Zhou.

The paths for Mercedes and Bottas are different now but Bottas can hold his head high after what he has done for the team and how he helped them win the eight constructors’ championship. Bottas has also worked very maturely in deciding when to put to the foot on the accelerator and when to give Hamilton the space in his push for the championship.
