The official Fortnite blog reveals “The End” marks the finale of Fortnite Chapter 2. This climatic event takes place on December 4 at 4 PM ET as players take on The Cube Queen in one last stand for the fate of the Island.

Since Fortnite’s season 8 is already in its climax, it would not be too crazy to think that the new chapter is close, although it might be a tad early to be talking about the map for the new season.

But these are all mere speculations. “Now that “The End” playlist got leaked I can finally talk about this: Chapter 3 is planned to launch on December 7th (It’s SOO good btw) and the Blackhole stays during 5th-6th. These sources were NEVER wrong about many things, if they’re wrong this time I’ll take the blame lol.” HYPEX said.

Previous seasons of Fortnite have featured snow-covered areas, desert landscapes, and even water flooding the entire map (briefly) in Chapter 2 Season 3.Chapter 2 Season 8 will also conclude the current reality, and the fight with the Cube Queen will end with a closure on the current map.
