Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is also known as Primal. This is due to the introduction of a more wilderness theme to the game. In this article we take a look at Fortnite Season 6 Animal Taming and how to do it.
The Fortnite lore followed the destabilisation of the Zero point and Agent Jonesy rushing in an attempt to stop it. He meets The Foundation who helps him to stabilise the Zero point.
However, a reality changing pulse erupts right before the Zero Point closing and this bought in a prehistoric era to Fortnite. This is now known as Fortnite Primal. This introduced many new changes to the map and also introduced many new features.
Fortnite bought in wild animals on the map that can be hunted for crafting materials. However, some can even be tamed to become companions for the players. Therefore, down here we take a look at Fortnite Season 6 Animal Taming.

Fortnite Season 6 Animal Taming
There are 4 animals that are currently introduced into the game after Fortnite Primal. They are:
- Wolves
- Chicken
- Wild Boars
- Frogs
These animals can be found roaming the wilderness of the island and soon many more will be added. Out of these 4 animals, only the Wolves and Wild Boars can be tamed.
The Chickens and Frogs can only be hunted to obtain crafting materials and meat. However, veteran players will know about the Chicken Gliding bug in the game, which is also one of its uses.
Fortnite Season 6 Animal Taming: Steps to do it
The animals in Fortnite can only be tamed when they are not aggressive towards the player. However, upon getting close players will get attacked by the wild animals. To get closer, players need to obtain and equip a Hunter’s Cloak. This will mask the player’s smell and the animals can’t detect them.
Wolves
Players need to obtain meat to tame wolves. Luring them with food will cause the taming to go smoother. Players can obtain meat by hunting chickens and boars in Fortnite Season 6.
The wolves are generally found in the Weeping Woods and they are plenty.
Wild Boars
Unlike the Wolves, Boars can be tamed with food or with craftable items. The process, however, is the same and players need to get close to them before taming.
The yare more readily found than Wolves and taming shouldn’t be a tough job.
Fortnite Season 6 Animal Taming for Wolves and Boars seems to only be the start. The developers may also introduce Prehistoric creatures such as dinosaurs. The Raptors are the most anticipated creatures to appear in the game.
