Fortnite x NBA Team Battles: Trailer, Rewards, Challenge Tasks and More in May 2021

The Fortnite x NBA Team Battles registrations are going live finally for users to sign up and claim free rewards. Called Fortnite x NBA: The Crossover, the event will commence this very day (May 19) and runs through to May 23.

Epic Games recently announced their collaboration with the NBA. On Friday, players can be able to grab up NBA outfits for all 30 teams.

Fortnite will also going to feature player ‘locker bundles’ for Donovan Mitchell and Trae Young. The pair will share their individual liked items available to grab while playing Fortnite and these items will be available for sale in the Fortnite Item Shop next week.

Fortnite NBA community battles will offer players the chance to sign up as their favourite NBA team and get free in-game rewards along with free Fortnite V-Bucks. Also, we will get to see challenge tasks and team leaderboards, which will help you know your progress in the leaderboard.

Fortnite x NBA Team Battles: Community Battles Rewards.

Players can win free Fortnite V-Bucks along with other in-game rewards along with the NBA Championship Trophy. Here’s a list of all the rewards:

  • Members of the first-placed team: 500 V-Bucks and Fortnite x NBA Championship Trophy back bling(fans of the respective team will only receive the back bling);
  • Members of the second-placed team: 300 V-Bucks;
  • Members of the third-placed team: 100 V-Bucks;
  • Every player who completes 3 Challenge Tasks: Fortnite Spin! in-game spray; and
  • Every player who completes 5 Challenge Tasks: Fortnite x NBA in-game banner.

The sign up process for the Fortnite NBA community battles is pretty easy and straightforward.

  • Visit the NBA team battles website. Click here to visit the site
  • Click on Join button

If you cannot sign up for Fortnite NBA team battles, it is due to the heavy traffic that the site is currently getting. All you can do is to try after some time

After you have access to the next page, choose the team that you want to contribute to. Each team has a limit of 15000 fan sign-ups. Fans who sign up after the limit has been reached won’t get any V-bucks but still get the cosmetics. Also, they are given challange Task to complete which will help their team win.

However, only the first 550,000 players will be able to sign-up as a Fan, after which all Fan sign-ups will be closed.

NBA Fortnite Challenges

Fortnite X NBA Team Battles will unlock a new Challange Task every day. Completing a challenge task will get your team a total of 1000 points.

The Fortnite x NBA Team Battles official post states that if any member fails to participate in a challenging task within the first 24 hours, the member will be removed from the team and also be disqualified for further events of Fortnite NBA. Moreover, the first fan that signed up for the team will take over the position of the disqualified team member.

Fortnite x NBA Team Battles: Stats(Leaderboards)

NBA Fortnite community team battles won’t let you see the stats on the leaderboard until May 22nd. Once it’s available, visit the official team battles Fortnite site where players have signed up and you’ll see a section/ called “leaderboard.”
