Mohamed Salah is as ‘fit’ as Cristiano Ronaldo, says agent Ramy Abbas after helping him sign a new 3-year-deal with Liverpool
Mohamed Salah
After months of talks, Mohamed Salah finally put pen to paper as he signed a new 3-year contract with Liverpool. The new contract makes Mohamed Salah one of the highest-paid players in Europe as he would essentially earn £400,000/week.
A lot of people were involved in convincing Mohamed Salah to extend his stay at Liverpool. Including Jugen Klopp as well as Liverpool’s highest-ever goalscorer Ian Rush. The Englishman spoke with Salah’s agent as the duo spoke about the player and his new contract.
“He is doing exactly that” – Ramy Abbas says Mohamed Salah follows Ronaldo’s fitness routine to stay in shape
Speaking about Mohamed Salah, Ramy Abbas said to Liverpool Echo, “It is great that something is finally sorted out and I am made up. It is something all Liverpool supporters wanted to see and now he is staying, I think it is going to be a great three years hopefully for Mo.”
“I look at Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United who keeps himself super fit and Mo, who is a lot younger than him [at 30], is doing exactly that too, he is keeping himself fit and he is determined to stay at that level he is at.”
“I don’t think his levels will drop, I think he will come back stronger than ever now he has settled [his future]. For Mohamed, my job [as a friend] was to let him know that Liverpool is the best club in the world.”
Ramy and Ian Rush also spoke about how new signing Darwin Nunez could also impact the team if he settles in quickly. Ian Rush also spoke about how he convinced Mohamed Salah to stay at Liverpool asking him to break the all-time goal-scoring record held by Rush himself.
Mohamed Salah has so far scored 156 goals in 254 appearances for the club. This means he is 190 goals away from reaching Ian Rush’s tally of 346. Should the Egyptian end his career at Liverpool, he can surely challenge and potentially break the record.
