Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will once again meet on a football field. A Saudi Arabia All-Stars team will face Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on January 19 in Riyadh. Interestingly, Al Nassr striker, Ronaldo will lead the All-Star team as captain in the friendly clash.
A feast of eyes for football fans is set to take place as a combined XI of Al-Nassr, and Al-Hilal is set to face the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and Messi. Just like in the old days, Messi and Ronaldo will face others in a professional event, maybe for one last time.
The duo of Messi and Ronaldo has dominated European football for over 15 years. Once again, fans will glimpse those golden days when the two long-time rivals go head to head like the Barcelona and Real Madrid days.
Messi left Barca in 2021 to join French giants PSG. On the other hand, Ronaldo signed for Juventus, Manchester United, and then Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia. This clash holds a lot of attention as the two players are unlikely to face each other again soon.

Is Lionel Messi on his way out of PSG?
Many fans speculate that Ronaldo made Saudi his choice because of the money. Likewise, Messi‘s reports of leaving Europe soon were also getting circled around the various media outlets.
All the tension in the PSG camp started following Argentina vs France FIFA World Cup final. It was basically a ‘Messi vs Mbappe’ show in the Qatar final. However, Al-Khelaifi (PSG President) insisted that he wanted to keep both Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
He spoke to RMC Sport via Fabrizio Romano: “We want to keep both Leo Messi and Mbappe, of course. They’re the best player and the best goalscorer of the World Cup. I won’t say more about Messi as we have a plan to discuss after the World Cup. I don’t want to say anything about Leo, we have an agreement to talk after the World Cup.“
Reports suggest that Al-Hilal was hoping to sign the services of the World Champion Lionel Messi. However, Lionel Messi is set to sign an extension with the French capital club. Messi is happy at PSG, and the Qatar club is confident he will stay with them in the future.
