Saturday’s blockbuster rematch for the WBA, WBC, and WBO heavyweight sees two giants clash at it again. A lot in the combat sports sphere will keep a keen eye on the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury 2 live stream from right around 4:30 p.m. ET. As well as boxing newbie Francis Ngannou; Ngannou though is rolling with his old rival for this one. Surprise, surprise – ‘Cat’ is out of the bag.

Ex-UFC lineal heavyweight and current PFL ‘Battle of the Giants’ pay-per-view Super Fight champ (read match highlights) Francis Ngannou is new to boxing. However, frantic ‘Franny’ nearly pulled off one of the biggest upsets in boxing history — dropping Tyson Fury. In the end, the Brit got the decision nod.

Ngannou is in Saudi Arabia for this weekend’s heavyweight championship rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury. Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) bagged 114-113 on the judges’ scorecard. On the other hand, Oleksandr Usyk took the cake on digits 115-112 and 114-113 in their first meeting. Weirdly enough, Ngannou is slightly counting out the Ukrainian out of it.

Who do I think wins? I think Fury, …Not that I’m taking Usyk out, respect for Usyk basically for what he had done for their first fight. … He proved me wrong, I’ll admit that. I was wrong on that one, but I still see it for Fury.

After nearly shocking the world, Ngannou faced Anthony Joshua in March and was brutally knocked out. Ngannou made his PFL debut in October but hasn’t counted out a return to the square ring again. The outcome of the anticipated Fury-Usyk rematch could have an impact on what happens to Ngannou.

If Tyson Fury loses, that fight could potentially open the door for ‘The Predator’. The duo made a big bank under the watchful eyes of Saudi GEA and their extended Riyadh season opener. However, if Fury wins and avenges his loss to Oleksandr Usyk earlier this year, a trilogy could come into play next year. Whatever it may be – Ngannou isn’t counting out a match with Fury again.

Francis Ngannou still wants to rematch Tyson Fury next fight

Ngannou will be going big for a while now. PFL CEO Peter Murray says that his new blimp will need defending within the bracket and that his two contractual fights are still pending. Soon to be a hot singing again, the Cameroonian is going big in whatever rulesets.

Deontay Wilder recently made a call-up. As did ABA super-heavyweight and two-time WBC heavyweight title challenger Derek Chisora who has his own goals. PFL super fight champ Ngannou though, still has a sour taste in his mouth from his controversial split decision loss to Fury in October 2023. To that end, he wants Tyson Fury one way or another.

I’m not coming back because I never left – I’m still around, …Yea! Yea. In boxing. What I do know for sure is that I want a rematch with Fury…[for a rematch] I don’t know, just trying to do the same thing that I did, but better.

Francis Ngannou further said to Seconds Out Boxing (@boxing)

Ngannou has repeatedly said he wants a square-circle rematch with Fury. Should that happen, the powerful knockout artist also says he wouldn’t change much. The testament to his true power was on full show against Renan Ferreira for a first-round TKO this October. Now, 0-2 in boxing yet, he plans a brighter road and wants to lace on the gloves again.
