Fire Eric Chavez. The wrong mechanics are so off and so obvious. Why have a hitting coach on payroll if they can’t help fix this in over 30 at bats

Despite Lindor’s drop in form, the Mets have managed to pick up runs. Their 3-2 win on Tuesday was their 3rd successive win, which improved their record to 58-44. They would be going for a series sweep of the Angels on Wednesday night at Citi Field before turning their attention towards the San Francisco Giants.
Amid ongoing slump, Francisco Lindor voices support for Yankees’ Anthony Volpe
Francisco Lindor is going through one of the worst phases of his New York Mets career. In the midst of this, he voiced his support for Anthony Volpe, who is going through a similar phase.

Just like Lindor, Volpe has been having a hard time on the field. The New York Yankees shortstop has made several fielding errors, which have led to his team giving up some crucial runs and losing the games.
On Tuesday, the 24-year-old committed another error from his infield position. His 13th error of the year tied him with Willy Adames for the most errors by a player this season.
As the Yankees’ star struggles with his form, the Mets’ shortstop offered some support to him and called him a “good player.”
Every year, we’re gonna go through it at some point. I don’t care who you are. You have to understand you’re not as bad as the moment and you’re not as good as the moment, either. You have to stay the course and everything will level out. He’s a good player. You just have to grind. He’s a great defensive shortstop and when you’re not hitting well, you can rely on good defense. It’s the same thing with me. That’s what you focus on.
Francisco Lindor said as per the New York Post
Anthony Volpe charged with his 13th error (throw), tying Willy Adames for the most in @MLB at any position.

In the game on Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays, Volpe would bat 9th in the lineup. After going 0-for-3 in his side’s 5-4 win, his batting average dropped to .212 for the season.
