Chelsea legend Frank Lampard was left stunned after former Spurs star Gary Lineker made an outrageous ‘balding’ comment on the player, on live television. Both of the former players were hosting BBC’s live coverage of Germany’s match against Hungary.
The open-air studio for the pre and post match show was positioned in front of Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate. On the opposite side of the studio, a big screen was up for the fans to watch each match. As crowds gathered to watch their national team’s match against Hungary, they obstructed the studio’s view, preventing the hosts from enjoying the game.
Gary Lineker remarked that he wished they would remove the screen so they could see the audience, but acknowledged that doing so would prevent the audience from watching the game. Fellow panelist Lampard humorously added that without the screen, the audience would only see the backs of their heads. To this, the former Barcelona forward strangely replied that no one wanted to see the back of the ex-Blues manager’s head anymore, taking a cheeky dig at his baldness.

However, the joke failed to amuse Lampard, who turned serious and after a moment of abrupt silence, they moved the conversation along. Linekar, in a later interview, admitted that the joke was inappropriate, and that he would apologize to Lampard.
Frank Lampard expresses his admiration for Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo
Ex-Chelsea star Frank Lampard expressed his long-time admiration for Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, during a pre-match show ahead of a Euro 2024 match. His comments come after the ex-player bumped into the Al-Nassr star on holiday, earlier this year.
Lampard, admiring Ronaldo’s professionalism, recounted seeing him on holiday. At the same hotel, Lampard noted Ronaldo’s dedication, observing his twice-daily workouts with a personal trainer.

Keeping a respectful distance, Lampard exclaimed that he got a picture with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner for his son. Ronaldo, who is competing in his record sixth European Championships, will be integral to the Portuguese side aiming to win another title after 2016.
