Frank Lampard looks forward to reuniting with Carlo Ancelotti

Chelsea will face Everton the Premier League this weekend. The match promises to be one to watch out for as both teams will look to gain points on the other.

While Chelsea at the moment are flourishing under Frank Lampard, Everton started really well however have slumped off to some inconsistent performances.

Lampard was one of the best players under Carlo Ancelotti when the latter was the manager at Stamford Bridge. Both have spent a lot of time together and know each other well.

Moreover they respect each other a lot. Frank Lampard spoke on the prospect of playing against Ancelotti’s side:

“I was heavily influenced by him as a player and a man. He’s right at the top of managers I worked with,” Lampard told a news conference.

He’s had huge success at various clubs. He was a great coach, a great man and I look forward to seeing him.”

Carlo Ancelotti won the Premier League and the FA CUP with Chelsea in the 2009-10 season and Frank Lampard was a crucial player for him.

Chelsea are already through in their UEFA Champions League group stage as they topped the group. Currently they’re sitting at 3rd position in the Premier League and will be looking to overtake rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool FC.
