Kevin Durant’s official Twitter/X profile is a must-follow for basketball devotees who use social media frequently. The former MVP does not hold back when sharing his thoughts, and he talks about a variety of subjects on X, such as pop culture, sports, and current events. One notable aspect of Durant’s account is that, in contrast to many other superstars and celebrities, he genuinely interacts with users.
Durant was back to his old ways this week, but this time he was arguing with rapper Lil B, who is also known as Lil B The BasedGod. Despite the Phoenix Suns’ failure to make the playoffs this season, Durant has been monitoring the playoffs and discussing hoops on social media. Lil B rekindled their feud on Sunday night when he posted on X that the 15-time NBA All-Star had “no real paper” and even challenged him to a basketball contest.
Durant, in response, did not hold back and chimed back at the rapper via his X post.
Broke boy asking for a feature in my DM..u wouldn’t be able to get a shot off on me lil one, you was once a thing, I’m still that.
Kevin Durant replied to Lil B’s initial post

So, who is Freddie Gibbs? The gangster MC from Gary, Indiana, Freddie Gibbs, has a fan base that includes Kevin Durant, Lena Waithe, Joe Rogan, and others. He keeps people company like a comedian by fitting in wherever. Few, however, would have foreseen his rise to the A-list, even if he had many A-list friends.
Freddie Gibbs has been discarded, pushed left for dead, or scrapped many times since he signed with Interscope in the early 2000s. He has somehow succeeded in becoming one of the most respected brands in hip-hop music. He shares a close bond with Durant, and his recent post replying to the newly signed Houston Rockets star is a clear example of it.
As for Durant, he just secured a sensational move to the Rockets from the Suns ahead of the 2025-26 NBA season. He will be eager to make an impact for his new side as soon as the new NBA season gets going in a few months.
Kevin Durant endured a hilarious moment with the fans at the Fanatics Fest
It was an amazing experience to see Kevin Durant perform at Fanatics Fest this past weekend. Interestingly, Durant attended the Fest as a Phoenix Suns player but left the event as a newly traded Houston Rockets player. Notably, during the fest, Durant was involved in a hilarious moment with his fans.

After hearing of the deal, fans also captured what seemed to be a joyful moment between Durant and his agent, Rich Kleiman. Additionally, it seems that Durant instructed a fan to throw up stuff for him to sign there. As soon as he said that, Durant received loads of stuff thrown at him, ending up in a hilarious moment caught on video.

Given how long lines form for autographs at these events, he surely should have anticipated this. It will be interesting to watch how Durant performs in the next part of his NBA career.
An ESPN insider revealed the reason behind the Knicks’ stopping their pursuit of signing Kevin Durant
The Phoenix Suns eventually agreed to sell the star forward to the Houston Rockets, but on June 11, ESPN’s Shams Charania claimed the Minnesota Timberwolves and New York Knicks were also interested in Kevin Durant. Alan Hahn of ESPN Radio disclosed the rationale for the Knicks’ decision to halt their pursuit of Durant on Monday.
It was going to blow up the roster. It was one of those moves that it was going to cost you too many pieces to blow up a roster that you already did. You gave up two-for-one for [Karl-Anthony Towns] a year ago, you weren’t going to do it again. They wanted some continuity, but I’ll tell you what, there was a lot of interest. There certainly was interest.

Despite Durant’s initial preference for the Knicks, Charania said on Sunday that the Suns “mainly focused” on the Heat, Rockets, and Timberwolves this week.” Eventually, Durant was traded to the Rockets while he was at the Fanatics Fest, garnering immense reactions from fans at the event and all over the world.
