It was not the comeback Stephen Curry was looking for after missing the last five games due to a left quad injury. The Golden State Warriors were beaten 127-120 by the Minnesota Timberwolves without Anthony Edwards at the Chase Center on Friday night. Despite being out of action, it was Curry who put on a show, dropping a game-high 39 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists in a losing effort.
The loss dropped the Warriors to 13-13 for the season and they are currently placed eighth in the Western Conference standings. While the win propelled the Wolves to 16-9 for the season and put them at sixth, 3.5 games ahead of the Warriors.
The Warriors continued to have the same issues as they struggled to make defensive stops towards the end of the fourth quarter. An issue they have faced against most of the big teams this campaign. Meanwhile, Stephen Curry carried the offense and is currently averaging 28.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists.
But what stole the show on Friday night was Curry wearing Anthony Edwards‘ signature Adidas sneakers. Last month, Curry split from Under Armour after a 13-year partnership in a surprising move to many. Since then, the 37-year-old has been on a sneaker-free agency, embracing different sneakers throughout the season.

It remains to be seen where Curry goes from here as he worn Nike, Reebok, Li-Ning and Adidas this season, the hottest sneaker-free agent is still out there.

Stephen Curry breaks another record
Despite being at the backend of his career, Curry has continued to dominate his opponents. The four-time NBA champion has broken numerous records throughout his illustrious career. And on Friday night the result may have not gone his way but he managed to break another record.

It was Curry’s 94th career game with at least 35 points since turning 30. A record that was held by the great Michael Jordan. It is no secret that Jordan is the measuring stick for greatness in the NBA. Considering Curry’s rival LeBron James is still active, it is impressive that it is the number 30 from the Warriors who ended up breaking the record.
HISTORY FOR STEPHEN CURRY IN HIS RETURN!

Tonight marks Steph's 94th 35-PT game since turning 30…
That's now THE MOST IN NBA HISTORY, passing Michael Jordan's 93 🤯 https://t.co/77EzlcCn2D pic.twitter.com/VmppiSvs7t
Curry’s three-point shooting ability and off-the-ball movement have shown no signs of slowing down, and if he continues to put up performances like these, he is on course to extend this record and may possibly even cross the 100 mark. A record that may not be broken anytime soon.
