The first set was a test for the Russian as he had to win the set in a tiebreaker, however, Khachanov did better in the next two sets winning the 6-3 each and booking a place in the 2nd Round. Karen Khachanov served up 6 aces and won an impressive 80% of his points in first serve.
Jiri Vesley progressed into Round 2 after a 4 set victory over Liam Broady in the first round on Monday.
