20th-seed Maria Sakkari will look to end the giant-killing run of qualifier Martina Trevisan in a third-round contest at the French Open 2020. It has been an incredible journey for Trevisan, ranked 159, who came through the qualifiers and has reached this far at Roland Garros.

Talking about the performance in the tournament so far, Trevisan, who had to go through the qualifiers to enter the main draw, has shown that she is the rising star in tennis. The 26-year-old Italian was leading against compatriot Camila Giorgi in the first round 7-6, 3-0 before the latter retired from the match. Trevisan then did the unthinkable, conquering teenage sensation Coco Gauff 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 in a three-set thriller in the second round.
On the other hand, Sakkari has had little difficulty reaching the Round of 32. After beating Ajla Tomaljanovic 6-0, 7-5 in the first round, the 25-year old Greek zoomed past Kamilla Rakhimova in straight sets 7-6, 6-2 in the Round of 64.
