The French Open 2020 will get the ball rolling from tommorow. Its idiosyncrasy arises not only as it is the last slam to be held this year, but also that its change in weather conditions and balls might throw the players off and lead to some unexpected upsets.

However, World No.1 Novak Djokovic is gearing to add another grand slam title to his mantle and break a few of Roger Federer’s records as well. Besides coming closer to the Swiss Maestro’s Grand Slam tally, Djokovic is also en route to overtake Federer’s success rate at the Roland Gross competition.

Federer has been an all-rounder, but his rival Rafael Nadal’s dominance on clay put a halt to the Swiss’ chances. In spite of reaching the finals 5 times, Federer has only won a single French Open title. However, he has continued to have a satisfactory record on clay.

Federer has the second-highest win rate at the French Open, after Rafael Nadal. With the Swiss Maestro sitting this season out on account of his double knee surgery, his opponents are vying his records, planning to surpass them.

The Swiss has an impressive 70-17 win-loss record at the French Open. Closely behind him is the Serbian with a 68-14 win-loss record.

With the Serbian’s current form, the Serb is bound to take the lead over Federer. Djokovic’s recent win in the Italian Open only goes to show his determination to be a record-holder.

The Serb is also being touted as one of the favourites to win the French Open 2020 and get his Grand Slam tally to 18. With only 3 more victories, Djokovic will surpass Federer and with the draw being revealed, it looks as though this will happen sooner rather later.
