19-time Grand Slam Champion Rafael Nadal will face Italy’s Stefano Travaglia on 2nd October in the 3rd round of French Open 2020.

To no one’s surprise, the 12 time Roland Garros Champion Rafael Nadal moved forward in the French Open 2020. He will face Stefano Travaglia who defeated former top-5 player Kei Nishikori to advance to the 3rd round of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career.

The Spaniard won the Mexican Open 2020 and reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open this year. He defeated Egor Gerasimov and Mackenzie McDonald in 1st and 2nd rounds of the French Open 2020 respectively. The Spaniard is yet to drop a set in this tournament.

The Italian suffered first round losses in the U.S Open and Australian Open this year. He did however, reached the round of 16 at the Italian Open where he lost to Matteo Berrettini in 2 tiebreaks. Travaglia defeated Kei Nishikori in 5 sets to advance to the 3rd round of French Open.

The duo are yet to play against each other in their careers. They two share a similar technique of a two-handed-backhand. Their forehands however, are different.
