The Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett hasn’t lost all hope in the current season. Although the Browns are far out of the playoff with a confirmed fourth-place finish in the AFC North, Myles Garrett believes he has a task way bigger than individual acclaim of winning the sack leader. Garrett, a staunch hater of the Baltimore Ravens, aims to mess up the Ravens’ chances of securing a home wild card match.
Myles Garrett is currently tied with Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson for the league lead with 14 sacks. Securing the top spot would earn Garrett his first career sack title, a notable achievement for any defensive player.
However, Garrett emphasized on Wednesday that chasing individual accolades is not his primary focus as the season winds down. Instead, he remains committed to playing his role in ensuring the Cleveland Browns finish on a positive note and impact the postseason picture.
The reigning DPOY expressed a particular desire to play spoiler to the Baltimore Ravens. He mentioned being more than willing to take down quarterback Lamar Jackson if it contributes to that goal. For Garrett, the opportunity to disrupt a division rival’s plans and help his team succeed outweighs personal milestones.
Myles Garrett’s plans has less chance of becoming a reality. The Browns started with Bailey Zappe and miss several key players while playing the Ravens. However, the team-first mentality by Garrett is what the Browns should focus in the upcoming offseason.

With one game left in the season, Myles Garrett is tied for the league lead with 14 sacks and leads the NFL with 21 tackles for loss. His quarterback pressure rate of 18.9 percent ranks third among players with at least eight sacks, highlighting his dominance as a pass rusher.
Garrett’s remarkable production has come despite facing double teams on a league-high 30 percent of pass-rush attempts. The added focus from opposing offenses has made his success even more impressive. The eight-year veteran believes this season has been even better than his standout campaign in 2023, a testament to his growth and adaptability.
