The wait is finally over for the Netflix’s new docuseries Starting 5 which stars LeBron James alongside Miami Heat Jimmy Butler, Minnesota Timberwolves Anthony Edwards, Sacramento Kings Domantas Sabonis, and Boston Celtics Jayson Tatum. As the oldest of the group, the series showed a scene where King James during his 21st NBA season, got upset at a plan to restrict his minutes.
LeBron James was visibly frustrated with load management plan and let his frustration known during the Lakers’ season-opening loss to the Denver Nuggets. In the clip, he expressed his displeasure to his coaches, where he emphasized that he felt physically stronger than many younger players.

Despite these limitations, the four-time NBA champion still averaged 35.3 minutes per game last season, which placed him 17th in the league, just behind top players like DeMar DeRozan. This slight reduction in playing time was reduced compared to the 37.8 minutes per game he logged when leading the league in minutes during the 2016-2017 season.
Although he wasn’t able to win title number five, he was able to break the 40,000-point barrier. This upcoming season, with all things being equal, he is expected to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most minutes played in NBA regular-season history.
