Simone Biles is notorious for wearing her heart on her sleeve and is not afraid to openly show her emotions. Following an unsuccessful stint during the balance beam final, she was visibly furious after missing out on another medal at the Paris Olympics.

During the finals, Biles fell off the balance beam and missed out on her chance of securing a podium finish. Following her stint, her emotions were running high, and she lost her temper. She went towards the crowd and seemed furious at those in the audience. She raised her hands in the air and asked them to stop shushing her.

Reportedly, some of the audience members at the Olympic Games were trying to shush the athletes cheering each other on and other members in the crowd. They meant well and wanted to give the athletes some silence. However, it had the opposite effect. The BBC commentary panel added that there was something in the arena that had distracted her.

Simone Biles posted a final score of 13.100 points at the Balance Beam finals at the Paris Olympics. Even after the fall, she stood fifth in the final standings. Winning the event would make her tie the all-time Olympic gold medal record by a female American Gymnast, currently held by Larisa Latynina.

Several gymnasts and coaches claimed that there was an ‘awkward atmosphere’ at the Bercy Arena in Paris during the finals of the Balance Beam. Biles joined in on the conversation during a post-match interview. She claimed that the crowd all started making shushing noises at each other as she was performing.

Overall, Simone Biles thought that the crowd was great other than this aspect. The American Gymnast claimed that none of the performers liked what was going on. Fellow gymnast Cecile Landi also shared the same sentiment as her.

Honestly, we do better in environments when there’s noise going on because it feels most like practice.

The 27-year-old revealed that she preferred environments where there was a lot of noise. Such environments were highly similar to where the athletes practiced and had gotten used to it. The gymnasts even asked for background music during the performances. However, this did not come to fruition.
